Buddha Day Celebrations

By Sadayasihi on Thu, 23 May, 2019 - 11:05

Suppose a man wandering in a forest wilderness found an ancient path, an ancient trail, travelled by men of old, and he followed it up, and by doing so he discovered an ancient city, an ancient royal capital, where men of old had lived, with parks and groves and lakes, walled round and beautiful to see. In 1988 my parents were in a relationship and living together. They got married and were waiting for me...

A second Triratna centre for Sweden: Malmö

By Munisha on Thu, 29 Dec, 2016 - 11:18

On 10th December, Sweden’s second Triratna Centre opened, in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, situated in the south, very close to Copenhagen, capital of Denmark. See Malmö on a map. (This was just a week after Stockholm’s sangha moved to new premises - and a few days before another two Malmö mitra ceremonies.)

The Malmö Centre team writes: “The Malmö sangha began in June 2013, when three of us (Anna, Caroline and ex-Kajsa) began to meet to practise...

Stockholm: the sleeping giant awakes

By Munisha on Thu, 22 Dec, 2016 - 15:27

Although very slightly smaller than the old centre, our new centre is a dream, with five windows and a warm and welcoming kitchen which has instantly become our sangha’s home, especially in mid-winter...

The Network of Buddhist Organisations UK has also issued a statement, signed by the members of...

New Triratna books in Swedish

By Munisha on Fri, 27 Feb, 2015 - 19:07Imagine reading your mitra study material in a foreign language. Well, actually this is quite normal for a lot of Triratna Buddhists, in countries such as Sweden - where many people’s English is so good they can even read A Survey of Buddhism in English.
