The International Western Dharma Teacher Gathering closed on Sunday 24th October with this Buddhist Gospel song from a Black-led American Theravadin sangha. We’re told they are releasing an album soon, but for now we’ll have to be content with this!

While several universities have been training and graduating Buddhist chaplains—some for more than a decade—there are no clear data on how many and where Buddhist chaplains are currently working.

The 2019 Generation X Dharma Teachers’ Conference is currently underway at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon, USA

This year those attending this biennial conference include three members of the Triratna Buddhist Order: Candradasa from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA; Vimalasara from Vancouver, Canada and Singhasri from London, UK. A variety of other Buddhist traditions in North America will also be represented. This is the fifth gathering of this kind, which has happened every two years since 2011.

FutureDharma Fund has published their first annual report detailing all the projects worldwide - from India, mainland Europe, Americas and into Australia and New Zealand - that they are making possible. FutureDharma Fund was established in 2016 to raise funds to help the Triratna Buddhist Community reach more and more people as we move into our next 50 years.
