As usual on the last weekend of September, the European Buddhist Union is holding its annual meeting - at Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa in Tuscany, Italy. Sadly most of the roughly 40 participants from many traditions all across Europe are on Zoom this time, for obvious reasons (and your trusty Liaison Officer, Munisha, is sitting in a little hut in Sweden.)

Generation X Dharma Teachers' Conference 2019

The 2019 Generation X Dharma Teachers’ Conference is currently underway at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon, USA.

This year those attending this biennial conference include three members of the Triratna Buddhist Order: Candradasa from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA; Vimalasara from Vancouver, Canada and Singhasri from London, UK. A variety of other Buddhist traditions in North America will also be represented. This is the fifth gathering of this kind, which has happened every two years since 2011.

The 2019 Generation X Dharma Teachers’ Conference takes place this weekend at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon, USA.

This year those attending this biennial North American conference include three members of the Triratna Buddhist Order: Candradasa from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA; Vimalasara from Vancouver, Canada and Singhasri, an American who lives London, UK.

I’d like to report briefly on a visit to the German Buddhist Union (DBU) annual meeting in April this year – with apologies for the considerable lateness of this report.
