Buddhafield Family-Friendly Events

By bethbuddhafield on Sun, 10 Mar, 2024 - 17:22

Buddhafield has been a home from home to many families for decades; children and families growing year after year from the mossy ground of the Buddhafield. It’s not surprising that people return to our events again every year to reconnect with the land, with each other and with the Buddha’s Dharma.

Dharmabytes: The Present Moment is our Joy

By Centre Team on Mon, 29 Jan, 2024 - 11:00

Dhivan moves through an exploration of joy, in both its mundane and grander manifestations. As he does so, he recalls the Buddha’s realization that joy and happiness arise when our life coalesces around our deepest values, often connected with relaxing in meditation. This is what may lead to Awakening for any and all of us…

Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants, 2013

This year, At Home With the Elements invites us to open our hearts, minds, arms and all our senses to the voices of the rain: the wisdom and the nourishment of the rest of the natural world. What...

We move from India at the time of...

Windhorse Publications had an amazing time participating at Buddhafield! 🙏✨

Check out this heartwarming picture of our incredible volunteering team (from left to right Walter, Hilary, Tara, our trustee Dhivan and Fi), who worked tirelessly to spread the wisdom of Buddhism through our books.

Buddhafield was a transformative experience, offering us the chance to not only connect with ourselves but also forge deep connections with fellow seekers on the spiritual path. The festival provided a nurturing environment for self-discovery, exploration, and growth.

This retreat will be held in beautiful woods near Herstmonceux in East Sussex, camping among the trees and surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the season in spring and autumn. Families as well as adults without children are welcome.

There is a focus on little-and-often practice with meditation, talks, discussion groups, rituals and, most importantly, play. We explore how to weave dharma into our practice of being together.
