We’re wrapping up the last segment of a four-week series of Tuesday meditations on the Brahma Viharas, or “divine abodes”. In these meditations we’ve cultivated various aspects of positive emotion - including loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita), and equanimity (upeksha).

Paticca-samuppada an old bone for an old dog - Guhyavajra

I’m entering into solitary retreat for a while so won’t be on the net. 

In preparation for Wimbledon I have been watching the Paticca-samuppada debate. Unfortunately myself not being a scholar I am a month behind the action slowly digesting the game.

I have to confess I don’t quite understand some of what is being extrapolated from quite a straightforward business. I fail to see how paticca-samuppada in terms of the Buddha’s experience as described by Satyadana, which I mostly concur with, contradicts...
