A weekend for young women exploring Buddhism in the modern world. What world is Buddhism entering into, and how will your choices now effect that world in the future? Ratnadharini and Padmasuri, both Public Preceptors, will be joining us, so it is a chance to meet them too.  

Young means under 40 in this instance (basically so that Karunadhi and Vajratara can still come!) and the cost is £85/ £105/ £140, but we have a bursary fund if you can’t afford...

Young people’s evenings are open to anybody with an interest in buddhism and meditation under the age of 35.

This is the first in a series of evenings looking at the five precepts and how they apply to us.

This month Jo will lead us looking into the first precept of do no harm, with the positive counterpart being loving kindness.

By Munisha on Tue, 23 Dec, 2014 - 14:10Triratna Young Buddhists go from strength to strength with over 20 groups worldwide, as well as India’s National Network of Buddhist Youth. Next year sees the start of events for those “Sub25”. European Triratna’s seventh annual Young Buddhist retreat – over six times the size of the first – took place in November, entitled “bigfuturebuddhanow”.

Wanted: English teacher for young Triratna Buddhists in India

This will help to lift them and their families out of poverty, and overcome the crippling disadvantages of caste. English is essential to success.
