We’re back under the trees for our Sunday gathering in Goodwin Park. This week we’re joined by Narottama, who, as part of our ongoing series ‘If the Buddha Lived In Portsmouth’, will be opening up a story from the teachings of the Buddha around how to develop tolerance, friendliness, kindness and consideration - even in tough times!

Parking in Portsmouth can be tough, especially on Thursday and Friday evenings. The city of Portsmouth has a website to help you figure it all out, including this convenient map of city parking lots. In addition, the bank lots near PBC on State St. and Pleasant St. allow parking during off hours. The free city lot and bank lots on Parrott Ave. and Pleasant St. usually have lots of empty spaces around 10AM on Sunday.

Friday Practice Evenings at PBC

Starting this week, our Friday gathering will be an open practice evening, 7-8:30 PM. The emphasis will be on meditation and starting the weekend off with some stillness, in good company. On occasion we will organize some Buddhist chanting or ritual, or exploration of the Dharma, always with a focus on practice.

All are welcome into this community space. Offered by donation: $10-5 suggested.
