Celebrating fifty years of the Triratna Buddhist Order and Community
This Saturday, the 8th of April 2017, the London Buddhist Centre hosts a day of events on behalf of all the London Centres to celebrate the presence of Bhante Sangharakshita’s vision in the world, and its significance in the unfoldment of the Buddha’s teachings.

Everyone is welcome to attend all or part of the day. The day is led by Order members associated with all five Triratna London Buddhist Centres.

A Buddhist contribution to the European refugee crisis

As the refugee crisis continues in Europe, many people have been moved to action this week.

In Sweden, members of the Triratna Buddhist Order joined a Stockholm demonstration in support of refugees arriving in Sweden. In Manchester and London, UK, Order members Amitasuri and Ambaravajri collected clothing, which they drove to the refugee camp at Calais, northern France, in Amitasuri’s van.

Lama's Pyjamas is five years old

Lama’s Pyjamas, the London Buddhist Centre’s second-hand shop, is five years old and they’re celebrating with a 50% off sale this Saturday, 9th May. 

This year saw their best profits ever - a grand total of £55,127 - all of which goes to support the work of the Centre.

During the LBC’s Buddha Day celebrations on Sunday 10th May, staff will be handing over a giant dana cheque to Jnanavaca, chair of the LBC. They’ll also be launching a Facebook page. They write:
