Dear Friends,

We are delighted to be able to share with you some touching news.

Janaka, a beacon of compassion to so many of us, has left a lasting legacy by supporting his three cherished charities in his Will: the Abhayaratna Trust, Karuna and Vajraloka.

Janaka’s generosity has not only empowered our three charities to continue our vital work, but it has also inspired us to reflect on the profound impact each of us can make when we plan for the future. His legacy serves as...

By Centre Team on Fri, 25 Nov, 2022 - 14:22

“For my oh-so 6th decade birthday, I want to raise $1000 for every year I have completed on this planet. This amount will

By Sadayasihi on Thu, 27 Dec, 2018 - 18:43

“Sisters, there is a door of the Dharma called ‘The Inexhaustible Lamp.’ Practise it! What is it? Sisters, a single lamp may light hundreds of thousands of lamps without itself being diminished.“
(From the Vimalakirti Nirdesa)

2018 has been a momentous year for the Triratna Buddhist Community – incorporating the celebration of 50 years of the Order itself (listen to inspiring interviews from our ongoing 50 Years, 50 Voices project); and taking in, of course, the death of our founder, Urgyen Sangharakshita.

Would you give £50 a month?

Bristol Buddhist Centre runs on generosity.

In 2015 we stopped making charges for classes, courses, and Sangha activities, and invited all of us to keep them happening by giving money and energy.

We responded generously – our regular monthly donations have almost doubled.  Thank you to everyone who has given, on behalf of everyone who has been through our doors this year to contact the Buddha-Dharma as expressed in our Sangha!

And there’s further...
