I’m aware that it is not always easy for mitras or those of you who lead mitra study to get the books that support the course, and particularly to get copies of books by Sangharakshita. Some are out of print and expensive to buy second hand. Others are in old editions.

Dear Order members,

We have just received the sad news that Matisvara died this morning New Zealand time, Friday 11 March 2022, at a rest home in Auckland, New Zealand. He was 90 years old. His daughter Miriam was with him and his son Gil was on a video link from India.

Matisvara was publicly ordained by Sona at the Auckland Buddhist Centre on 29 Jan 2000. Sona was also his private preceptor.

Dear Order Members,

Our brother Advayamati has recently been given a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He is waiting on a date to start a course of chemotherapy, this has a very low chance of success, but surgery is not an option because the tumour is close to a major artery. He expects the chemotherapy to start anytime after 14th March.
