Prasannavajri (from Maine USA) has written to resign from the Triratna Buddhist Order. Both Dayalocana, her private preceptor, and Maitreyi, her public preceptor, have been in touch with her and have agreed to accept her resignation. Anastra (she has relinquished the name given to her at ordination) feels a “deep…appreciation for the Dharmic foundation I did receive” in Triratna and is now practicing with a Tibetan Buddhist sangha...

He died of pneumonia on Sunday 4th January, just before 1 o’clock in the Royal Oldham Hospital. His wife Shirley and their daughter, Helen, were by his bedside but he hadn’t been conscious for a while.
He had gone into hospital on the Saturday and had been aware and chatty. His condition later deteriorated and he was sent to the High Dependency Unit at...

Retreatant has help in cutting vegetable, Asha, Nanda and Krishan has cooked it, Community member has packed and distributed to people come for ordination program. We can see great joy in preparing and serving food to people.

He was working whole night with team of 11 women who went to bed at 3 oclock, but he was working with concentration and dedication still sun come up. New Year begin with Women ordination of 17 women into Triratna Buddhist Order. Ceremony was led by Dhni. karunamaya, Dhni. Jnanasuri and Dhni. Vijaya. Five Women from Gujrat State got ordain alone with other from various state of Maharashtra. Around 800 people has came for ordination program.
Silapiya continues the Going for Refuge series at the London Buddhist Centre, by distinguishing the Cultural, Provisional, Effective, Real and finally Absolute levels of going for Refuge, according to the classification laid out by Bhante.

Krishna and Nanda (husband and wife) made ragi field possible along with all other work of retreat center.
