He introduces four trainings that we can use to help ourselves in being more positive and relates this to the talk given last week. The session includes questions, a short reflection and the Shakyamuni Mantra. Pictures of the diagrams used in this talk will be on the Croydon Buddhist Centre website. The 3 Cafés Challenge

From London Buddhist Centre on Thu, 4 Feb, 2016 - 12:20

Raising Money for the New Vajrasana Retreat Centre

This Spring friends Maitreyabandhu and Jnanavaca will visit 3 east London cafes, drink 3 hot beverages and eat 3 pieces of cake, each. We need to raise £500 per drink and £500 for each piece of cake = £3,000 in total. This money will buy everything we’ll need for hot beverages at the New Vajrasana Retreat Centre, from installing the new water boilers to new quality cups, cafetiers, coffee tables, spoons and mugs…

From Dharma Articles on Sat, 30 Jan, 2016 - 23:09

2015 was a great year for new books on mindfulness. On Lies

From London Buddhist Centre on Wed, 27 Jan, 2016 - 00:00
The world is awash with lies and partial truths, but we can only tell the truth to the extent that we are in touch with it. What is the Buddhist view on the truth and how can we use it to live a truthful life?
