Celebrating our 50th year, Triratna Buddhist Community is a truly international Sangha. Zoe Lim is the only mitra training for Ordination in Singapore.  Liz Bassett, from FutureDharma Fund, caught up with her friend to talk about her life and why she loves The Buddhist Centre Online -  one of the many projects to receive funding from FutureDharmaFund this year. 


Zoe found Triratna at the Nottingham centre when she was a student, and since moving back to Singapore has returned to the UK to attend retreats at Tiratanaloka,

We are delighted to be able to tell you that on Tuesday March 28th at 2.30pm Jyotipala had his Public Ordination at Padmaloka.

Jyotipala means ‘He who Protects the Light’.

His Public Ordination was performed by Padmavajra.

Dear All,

I am writing to let you know that Taraka has resigned from the Order. She has spoken with both Ratnasuri, her Private Preceptor, and me, her Public Preceptor, and we have accepted her resignation, and we wish her well in the future.

Taraka was ordained in 1992 at Taraloka. She has been living in Sweden for the past thirteen years. Her letter of resignation can be found below.
