Stupa Update: Lion Throne Completed

From The Stupa Project on Thu, 24 Jul, 2014 - 00:01The Dhardo Rinpoche stupa at Aryaloka is rapidly taking shape. The base, or “lion throne” portion of the stupa was completed on Monday. Into it we placed a large sealed urn or vase, with contents representing things of samsara:

From Triratna News on Sun, 20 Jul, 2014 - 20:56Sally Birch (of Sheffield, previously of Deal) was ordained privately on Thursday 17th July at Tiratanaloka, and publicly on Saturday 19th July at the Sheffield Buddhist Centre, UK.

She becomes Dayaraksita (long second and last ‘a’s, and a dot under the ’s’), a sanskrit name meaning ‘She who is Protected by Kindness’.
