Eight Step Recovery - Day Retreat

From Portsmouth Buddhist Center on Wed, 6 Aug, 2014 - 16:33A day long retreat exploring the The Buddha’s teachings to Overcome Addiction led by Vimalasara, Saturday, September 13th, 10 - 5 pm.

These teachings may be applied to all addictions, money, food, alcohol, drugs, sex and much more. Humans have an inbuilt tendency towards addiction, and the Buddhist teachings can be applied to help bring about sobriety of mind, self compassion and abstinence.

This day retreat will be composed of opportunities for reflection and meditation with guidance...

We will work with practical methods to recognize and move beyond distractions to a more satisfying experience of integration. Participants should have at least three months meditation experience to attend.
