Today, in two shrine rooms filled with sangha members, family and friends, we bade farewell to Dharmachari Dipankara who, along with Dharmamati and Buddhadasa, brought Bhante’s explication of the Dharma to Australia back in 1981. Without their efforts, and Dipankara’s fortitude in particular, there would not be a Sydney Buddhist Centre.

Op zondag 7 juni was BCArnhem vertegenwoordigd op de rommelmarkt in de Lommerd. We hadden een kraam gehuurd om de spullen, die we gekregen hadden om te verkopen als fondswerving, daar te verkopen. Een aantal mensen uit de sangha Mick, Morries en Els kwamen om de beurt een paar uurtjes achter de kraam staan om Carmen en Sobhanandi te helpen. Anderen kwamen even kijken (en kopen).Het was een drukke en gezellige dag die voor het centrum 83 Euro opbracht....

Bhante’s secretary Ashavajit writes: “Here at Adhisthana, spring has truly begun. The cuckoo has been heard not just once but many times, little brilliantly-coloured wild flowers are to be seen everywhere, and Sanghadeva’s constant gardening is providing vivid splashes of colour at strategic points on the campus. The trees are dressed in myriad greens, and on the warmer days Bhante has been able to walk up and down beside the pond and even to sit in the sun.
