A Guide to the Dhyanas

From Croydon Buddhist Centre on Sun, 27 Aug, 2017 - 01:00
In this talk Amaraghosha discusses how the dhyanas have been part of meditation practice from the time of the Buddha, by using extracts from the Pali canon. He explores how to set up the conditions in which access concentration may arise, and then discusses how to move from that space into the first dhyana. Amaraghosha then shows how to move into progressively deeper states through this practice and describes their characteristics.
