A Westerner's View of the Dharma Revolution In India

From Cambridge Buddhist Centre on Fri, 18 Oct, 2019 - 00:00
As part of our Dharma Revolution Day, marking the 3rd anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s conversion to Buddhism along with hundreds of thousands of his followers, in Nagpur, India, Sanghanath interviews Padmasuri about her experiences. As a young English-born Order member, Padmasuri went to live in India during the 1980s. She was engaged in doing primary health care in the slums as well as teaching the Dharma especially to women. She got first-hand insight into ways in which Dr Ambedkar's conversion to Buddhism and the following Dharma Revolution impacted on people's lives.
