2020 International Conventions: Date Adjustment

The dates for the all the conventions have been slightly adjusted to fit in better with Wymondham College, who are planning some refurbishment works this summer.

The new dates are:

Saturday 8 August - Friday 14 August, Women’s Convention, Adhisthana

Friday 14 August - Wednesday 19 August, Combined Convention, Wymondham

Wednesday 19 August - Tuesday 25 August, Men’s Convention, Adhisthana

  • Aryanita, Sanghanistha and Saddhanandi gave short talks on their vision as the Chairs of the Paris Buddhist Centre, Padmaloka and Adhisthana respectively.
  • Aryanita is the Chair of the Paris Buddhist Centre - a role she took on only one year after ordination. Having come from a business background, assisting in the formulation of organisational strategy and vision, a key learning for her has been the realisation that efficiency isn't the most important thing in the building of sangha, but rather helping people to develop.
  • Gunabhadri and Aparajita from the Development Team

The ECA meeting is a chance for those chairing Triratna Buddhist Centres across Europe to come together, practice the Dharma, develop friendships and discuss issues of relevance to their sanghas and the Triratna movement, as a whole.
