Dear Order Members,

On the 8th and 9th of December Valerie Mark was ordained by Dharmacarini Megha for both the Private and Public ordination ceremony.

Val becomes Ujuka (with a long ‘a’). She who is straightforward, direct, honest and principled.

Ujuka may be the first person to be ordained within the Triratna order since Bhante died.

Dear Friends,

I regret to inform you that because of a serious breach of the precepts Dharmachari Suvajra has been suspended from membership of the Triratna Buddhist Order.

A concern was raised about Suvajra and followed up using the Triratna Panel process developed this year for addressing allegations of serious ethical breaches.

Valerie Mark will have her Private Ordination on Saturday 8 December at 10.30am and her Public Ordination on Sunday 9 December at 10am, Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Megha will be both the Private and Public Preceptor due to shortness of time. It will be held in Kempsey.
